Love December! Christmas…birth of our Savior, weddings, carols, decorating, stockings, giving to loved ones, cookies/cakes, lights, shopping crazies, Obros’ camp, and celebrating the end of another year! I could go on and on!
This off-season my brother, Jon Mark, and I traveled to Orange County to train for a few days with our agency…had a great time and learned some new stuff along with the science behind why we’ve been doing some of the old stuff our older brother, Josh, had been doing with us for years! Came back and headed to Redsfest for the weekend! Then a week later welcomed the newest member to the Owings’ family! Josh, my older brother’s wedding was on 12/12 this year…a ‘beautiful wedding’ as the women all say! “A great time and honor for me to be in the wedding and have Meredith now as my sister-in-law!”
We also held our 6th Annual Obros’ Christmas Camp this year! This year we decided to the do the camp for free and advertised with less than a week’s notice. We also had to move locations to Riverside Military Academy here in Gainesville, Ga to accommodate the large numbers we were not expecting! Over the course of the three-day camp the week of Christmas we had over 150 kids show up between the ages of 7-14! We covered key fundamentals of every area of the game, but more importantly had opportunities to share Christ with the campers!
For those of you that read this and over my site, I would like feedback on how to improve it as we head in to a new year. Planning on making changes but open to hearing thoughts of my readers! May God be with each of you!
